A case of hereditary fibromatosis gingivae accompanied secondarily by severe marginal periodontitis was reported. The patient was a 33-year-old male. On examining the patient's familial background, extreme gingival swelling was noted in his younger brother and daughter. The surgical treatment under general anestheia consisted of flap operation in both arches. It was followed up for 18 months.
