This device has been marketed; it consists of a square stainless steel plate (2.0×2.5cm, 5cm^2) and a wire spring with a diameter of 0.8mm.. Sometimes it causes discomfort in the patient's mouth and mucous membrane covering the mandible due to the wire or corner of the electrode.
