In such cases a resilient base to the denture is frequently successful in relieving pain in function. Polyphosphazine fluoroelastomer is a semiorganic rubber with a phosphorus-nitrogen backbone. Curing is by crosslinking of the fluorocarbon side chain using multifunctional acrylics and peroxides. Physical and mechanical properties are equal or superior to commercially available products. This article is the first report of our study for clinical use.
