During hospitalization, a large amount of aspirin DL-lysine was medicated for the intense pain due to acute osteomyelitis. Aspirin itself has been closely studied and assessed of clinical significance in pregnancy. It is often found to reduce the mean birth weight, prolong gestation and labor and increase both blood loss at delivery and perinatal mortality. With due consideration to the potential influence on mother and fetus, we injected aspirin DL-lysine for improvement of local symptoms of the disease, and again after the surgical procedure of tooth extraction. The patient had a healthy boy of 2,800 g and experienced no sharp aches or swelling in the mandibular region after childbirth.
