The hormonal effects to the content of NGF in the gland of adult mice were also examined. Results were as follows; 1) NGF was localized in the cytoplasm of granular tubular (GT) cells in the submandibular gland of adult male and female mice. 2) NGF was firstly detectable in the GT cells in the gland of males at 25 days of age, and of females at 30 days of age.
