Specific activity increased 12,000 fold and recovery was 5.8% The molecular weight was determined to be 75,000 by gel filtration, and the isoelectric point was 7.6. The optimum pH for the activity was 5.5. The purified hyaluronidase degraded hyaluronic acid, but it had no activity against chondroitin, chondroitin sulfate A, B, C, heparin and heparan sulfate.
