Arsenic trioxide given orally to rats caused a significant increase in the osmotic fragility at a dose level of 20-120mg As/kg of body weight. However, in vitro tests on the erythrocytes, which were treated with 2-500μgAs/ml of blood for 1 hr. incubation at 37℃, no significant changes were observed. Monomethylarsonic acid and dimethylarsinic acid, known as metabolites of inorganic arsenic, induced no significant changes in the osmotic fragility in vitro tests on the erythrocytes. Moreover, these compounds did not show any changes even when rats received i. p. injection of 20mg As/kg of body weight. In case of sodium arsenate, oral administration of 60mg As/kg of body weight caused a significant increase in the osmotic fragility. In inducement of the osmotic fragility in the erythrocytes sodium arsenate appeared to be less active than arsenic trioxide.}, pages = {173--178}, title = {ヒ素化合物による赤血球膜浸透圧抵抗の変化}, volume = {6}, year = {1980} }
