Particularly, the advantages of digital imaging include convenient procedures such as prompt image viewing after scanning, easy deletion of unwanted images, and the absence of developer, fixer, and complicated film developing processes. In this study, we defined the cause of artifacts on the intra-oral imaging plate (IP) due to incorrect handling of the IP based on such conditions as ink type, color of letters, sheet type, and presence of laminating. Our results showed that artifacts appear on the IP when the active surface of the IP directly contacts the ink or letters with photoactivity. Dentists can use IP, the digital x-ray system, more casually than photo film and the benefits of convenience are always a positive issue, but carelessness may result in the appearance of artifacts. It is therefore suggested that dentists should not remove the protective cover immediately before scanning and should avoid ambient light in the use of IP.}, pages = {120--128}, title = {歯科用デジタルエックス線撮影における背景の写りこみによるエラー像 : イメージングプレート取り扱い上の注意事項}, volume = {36}, year = {2010} }
