| 内容記述 | Using dogs' teeth tissue reactions to Formalin Guaiacol (root canal medicament) were studied by means of histopathology. Experimental teeth can be devided into following three groups; vital pulp (22 cases), pulpectomized root canal (12 cases) and infected root canal (46 cases). The results obtained were as follows: 1) Pulp reactions to the medicament were firstly circulatory disturbance such as hypermia and hemorrhage, secondly local necrobiosis and slight round cell infiltration, and lastly superficial necrosis. 2) Periodontal tissues did not show big changes but were involved in hypermia and round cell infiltration slightly. 3) Alveolar abscesses became coagulation at the area contacted with the medicament. 4) Root canal polyps also showed local coagulative necrosis. In summary, Formalin Guaiacol is considered to be extremely useful for root canal medication. | |||||||
