| 内容記述 | Using extratubular efflux of periodic acid Schiff (PAS) positive material as a histological indicator of intra-salivary gland reflux, correlation of the PAS positive material and interstitial as well as salivary gland changes were analyzed in a surgical specimen of the labial gland of a SLE patient. Results: (1) Extratubular efflux of PAS positive material was seen around ruptured striated duct of the labial gland with mononuclear cell infiltration and duct ectasia, (2) The lesion involved was not only further accompanied with cell infiltration into the interstitial tissue, but also showed degeneration and exfoliation of the duct epithelium. Thus, it seems suitable to represent this lesion as a case of Extratubular Efflux Sialoadenopathy. | |||||||
