| 内容記述 | Histochemical studies have revealed that taste organs in mammals have high activities of several phosphatases, but the nature and roles of these phosphatases have not yet been elucidated. The present study was undertaken to find a suitable material for biochemical study on phosphatases in mammalian taste organ. Each experiment was carried out with six foliate papillae of rabbit dissected thoroughly under a stereoscopic microscope. The foliate papillae were homogenized and centrifuged to obtain P_1 (900×g, 10min), P_2 (5,000×g, 10min), P_3 (8,000×g, 20min), P_4 (105,000×g, 60min) and S_4. The highest specific activities of Ca^<2+>-ATPase, Mg^<2+>-ATPase and Ca^<2+>, Mg^<2+> ATPase were obtained in P_4 fractions. The specific activity of Mg^<2+>-ATPase in the P_4 fraction of the foliate papillae of rabbit was several hundred times higher than that obtained in bovine circumvallate papillae by Lum & Henkin. This indicates that the material used in the present study is suitable for the enzymatic study of ATPase in mammalian taste organ. | |||||||
