| 内容記述 | The etiology of epulis gravidarum have been reported as follows: 1) metabolic changes caused by pregnancy, 2) untreated local lesions and unsanitary oral conditions and 3) external irritations. An epulis gravidarum occurred to gingiva that beneath the dummies of fixed bridge of anterior portion of maxilla in a 31-year-old woman. The patient refused our recommendation of surgical therapy for one and a half year, so the tumor grown gradually large with no pain and became a pigeon egg in size when surgical operation was perfomed. By a review, 12 out of 20 reported cases of epulis gravidarum were categolized in teleangiectaticum or hemangiomatosa types histologiacally. The present case, however, was diagnosed as a fibrosa type. | |||||||
