| 内容記述 | We report a case of Angle Class I discrepancy treated using the self-ligating bracket system, SmartClip^<TM>. A 22-year-old woman conslted our university hospital for orthodontic treatment with a chief complain of lower incisor crowding. She was diagnosed as having Angle Class I malocclusion with lower incisor crowding and a treatment plan using the SmartClip^<TM> Self Ligating edgewise system was developed to reduce the discrepancy and to obtain perfect occlusion. This orthodontic treatment system was newly developed by the 3M Unitek company for reduction not only friction between the main arch and ligation wire but also the duration of wire ligation on the orthodontic brackets. We obtained fairly good treatment result in this patient after 15 months of treatment. | |||||||
